Kickin' it New for School

Now that we've covered back to school gear, it's time for back to school wear. We're all cleaning out our closets to make room for fall clothing, but the reality is that September still sees warm days so we don't have to break out the rain and winter gear just yet. Back to school style for us means comfortable, casual and good quality pieces that wash well and wear well as well (especially if there is a little sibling next in line).

We first headed over to Kaos Kids where we're always thankful for their play table.

We're loving all of the ruffled skirts and dresses by Peekaboo Beans. Founded by Vancouver mompreneur Traci Costa, Peekaboo Beans clothing was designed with play in mind. Its combination of style and comfort is perfect for the playground and perfect for the classroom - and at 50% off select styles it's the perfect choice for back to school wear (available up to size 8). We also recommend stocking up on tights and leggings so you can extend the wear out of skirts and dresses into the cooler temperatures. We found these great footless tights by Danish brand Me Too ($16.99).

It's easy for us to get carried away looking at clothes for girls, but they can't have all the fun. Our little boys can find big style in lots of cute tees (Future Rock Star Tee $29.99), plaid shirts ($23.99) and skinny dark wash Levis ($32.99) available in sizes up to 6x.

New footwear is a must. We're longtime Converse fans and always have a pair of high tops in our kids' closets. Classic, cool, durable and easy to clean (throw them in the washing machine and use baking soda and vinegar to keep those rubber tips white), they're our top shoe pick for heading into fall. Available online at Gravity Pope in sizes 2-10, from canvas to leather starting at $24.00 - and if you haven't bought them before know they fit one size up.
